Pet care experience
I've been personally dogsitting for friends, family and coworkers for over five years years now. I love taking the pets I care for out and about - I always make sure they have a good time when they're with me. I also have 3 dogs myself - German shepherd, Husky mix dogs and a Australian cattle/shepherd puppy - so I have experience dealing with high-energy, large dogs and puppies. I also have two cats as well and have lots of experience cat sitting. I have strong training experience and am willing to follow your needs if you are currently training your dog. I am gentle and compassionate but strict with pets if needed! Most friends and family have been pretty happy with my services.

I sincerely don't believe I could have had a better experience or found someone better to take care of my sweet canine friend Willow! She has a perfect set up in her home and schedule, the desire, patience and compassion for the dogs as well as their owners, and the flexibility to provide various services. She has also given me new tips & helped me understand the value in crating, which is something I didn't feel like I necessarily needed to do before, but that have made huge differences in my daily life by creating more space for me and comfort for Willow. I would highly recommend Carrie to anyone looking for someone to care for their 4 legged friends!

I would prefer boarding your dog but I also do stay-ins. if your dog is staying with me for boarding or day care, they will be staying in their own room and their own space away from my pets. They will only interact if I get your permission, but my dogs are friendly and will make sure your dog gets good exercise if they love to play! I love taking the dogs I care for out and about - I always make sure they have a good time when they're with me. With cats, I’m happy to stay awhile and spend time with them, play with them, and overall keeping them company.

I have experience with high energy dogs and don’t mind taking care of bigger dogs or puppies. However I do require that the dog has gone through some level of training and is relatively well behaved! Crate trained dogs preferred.
A typical day
I love to take the dogs I’m taking care of out and about. I’m happy to take them on walks, to the dog park - my favorite spot to take them around is Sugar House Park or on the trails near my house in Bountiful. With cats, happy to take care of them inside your home where they feel the most comfortable and keep them company.

Availability
I work from home and can let your dogs out quite frequently during doggy day care or boarding. I can be flexible to check up on your pets during the day if I’m doing a drop-in visit. My schedule is quite flexible if a several-hour visit is needed (keeping your pets company!).
