Pet care experience
I’m a longtime volunteer with Great Plains SPCA: dog walker since May 2012, dog foster for dogs with behavioral/social issues since February 2015, and Volunteer of the Month January 2017. I’ve owned at least one dog continuously since I was 10 years old. (The dog that I got when I was 10 eventually went to college with me and then moved with me to my first apartment after college!) My husband and I currently have two small dogs named Gus and Daisy. I’m a serious dog lover and I think they can sense that about me - dogs love those who love them! With my volunteer/foster work, I have experience with dogs who may need a little extra love and patience. I mostly foster smaller dogs, but I have family experience with larger dogs (my siblings have/had German Shepherds). NOTE: I no longer work from home, so I am unavailable weekdays from 8AM - 5PM. However, I can still take care of your pups weekday evenings and weekends! ❤️

We are so thankful that Carrie came in for drop in visits with our precious babies with we were on a weekend trip. She went above and beyond when watching the boys. She brought the trash containers back to the house on trash day and washed throw rugs after and accident ! These things she did without us asking her to do them. I’ll definitely recommend her to friends and neighbors.
Animal welfare, especially with dogs, is a passion of Carrie's. I have seen her take wonderful care of multiple dogs - those that she owns, the 12+ that she has fostered, and neighbor's pets. From pets that require multiple doses of medicine each day, to extremely shy and fearful dogs from hoarding situations, Carrie has a gift with patience, compassion, and connecting with animals. I would absolutely continue to trust her with our dogs.
