Full time fur-mom

Pet care experience

From goldfish to livestock, I love them all. My whole life thus far has been dedicated to the welfare of animals and service to my country. As a youngin, I was saving frogs from the middle of the road, snakes from being beaten with broomsticks by scared human mothers, and bandaging baby birds and their broken wings. I became an equestrian until it was too expensive so i began volunteering at therapy ranches and rescues just to be close. I raised livestock and poultry while in high school where I learned much about improvising on the farm. I became a service dog trainer learning a few other skills along the way. I joined the Army hoping to get 68t (vet tech) but proudly ended up in combat instead - I hold my military experience dear to my heart. I am happily married to another servicemember who also loves animals! We both have volunteered for rescues throughout the years. I got out of the military to persue my dream of working with animals. I'm grateful to say I was given the amazing opportunity to train as a vet assistant and soon became one, eventually working up to surgical assistant in the orthopedics department. I am also a current student of veterinary technology. Still, the animals are calling from all different directions and I will be there to answer! *Currently stationed at Ft Benning, but Ft Sill is just around the corner*

Carrie is extremely passionate about animal care and an excellent pet mom! She has more than two years experience in the veterinary field and it shows. I’ve watched her administer medication to typically aggressive animals that are like butter when she works with them. She is patient, considerate and very professional with dog/cat moms. She is also an expert at grooming, playtime, walking, medicating, feeding, etc. recommend for any and all pet types!
