ANIMALS KNOW I WILL PROTECT THEM

Pet care experience

I grew up around many types of animals and helped out in the vet clinic because my father was a Vet. He showed me when animals have allergies and symptoms they may display. I also learned about dog poisoning and the symptoms. The biggest gift I have is to love then and gain their trust. Playing, exercising (even dogs who love water I will take them to a doggy park that has a pond), loving on them and giving special scratching and massaging hips. I will sit with them if the like that when they eat. I don't forget a doggy treat if they are allowed. I have also cared for animals on hospice. Sometimes I think I love dogs better than I like people.

Information Carrie C. would like to know about your pet

I have a checklist as most professional dog caregivers should. I ask basic information about the following: Allergies Negative reactions to people, animals, noises, etc. Medicine management information Bowel Movement Management Meal Preparation and management Key is to relax and not make your animal/s more anxious and be a loving backup because nothing will take the place of their owner.

A typical day

I know all the dog parks around the Camp Bowie and Monticello area. I also can drive 15 minutes west near Aledo and know a place where they can be dogs. Playing fetch or allowing them to run is key to their health and mental attitude. Every dog is different; listen to what the owners say they like and then begin working at baby steps so they feel comfortable with you and have fun.
