Since I was a child I have loved animals. My Dad also loved animals, but, mom on the other hand, was deathly afraid. The only pets I had growing up were goldfish and hamsters. Once I moved out and had my own apartment, I went to the local animal shelter the next day to adopt my first cat! He was beautiful...all white and we had a special bond. My next cat came from and x boyfriend. He got a second cat, and the cat we had together came back to live with me. My 3rd cat I kept from being a foster for mama kitty and 4 kittens. I had them at 3 days old, and when it was time to take them back to the shelter for adoption, I kept my Pepe Le Pu and she lived to be 20 years old! In between there I had a Golden Retriever, and a Bernese Mtn. Dog/Australian shepherd mix. Unfortunately, my Bernese just passed away in January. I do not have any dogs right now, but have a sweet kitty who was adopted March 2020. My experience with animals is instinct. I have had no formal training, but, I seem to have a knack understanding them, reading them, knowing when they are trying to tell me something and 99% of the time I can figure out what they need. I am the one person all of my friends ask to pet sit. I have friends animals for a few hours, a few days and sometimes even a few months when they take over seas trips! I do not have any 2 legged children, so the 4 legged ones is where all my love and energy goes. When I'm out with my friends and their dogs, and it's time for us to leave, their dogs come walking to my car with me instead of their owner! I think that is the best compliment from the pet as I know they love being with me as I do them!
