*Please note - due to the birth of my baby boy in July I am temporarily not taking boarders at this time. I will update when we are able to welcome your furry family members into our home again!* I’m a distance runner with a demanding rescue husky of my own, and I frequently watch my sister’s two high-maintenance huskies. One has anxiety and will eat/shred anything left unattended and the other is a shy puppy mill rescue, so I’m capable of working with many personalities. I’ve also been an animal shelter volunteer on and off since I was a teenager, and I’ve grown up with 3 dogs, so am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I work 10 minutes away, so there would be added availability for potty breaks and play during the week, and my husband works from home for additional peace of mind in the event of an emergency. Our dog gets a 4-5 mile run and 1-2 mile walk every day, and I could absolutely run/walk your dog as well if that’s part of his/her routine. We do have cats, so any dog we watch MUST be cat-friendly for their safety. We have a one-acre yard that is fully fenced in (6 ft high) so your pet can spend as much or as little time outside as he/she desires.

If you want your dog to be safe, happy and well cared for while you are away then Carolyn is the person you want to watch your dog. Her dog is friendly and gentle and they have a big fenced in backyard for them to run and play. Highly recommend and would leave my dog with Carolyn again. She and her husband treated my dog like their own.
Carolyn was wonderful! She went above and beyond to make sure our husky was comfortable. Carolyn sent daily updates and pictures. I would highly recommend Carolyn to care for your dog!
We boarded Daisy with Carolyn in her home for 4 days and nights! Carolyn is lovely and has a calm disposition that I knew would work well for Daisy. We started with a “meet and greet” the day prior to boarding. For the duration of Daisy’s stay, Carolyn provided us with daily updates and pictures of Daisy and her own beautiful dog “Winter” having a great time at play and at rest. They have a large fenced-in backyard that is perfect for fresh air and playtime! Daisy also enjoyed walks with Carolyn, her husband and Winter. I highly recommend Carolyn from our experience with Daisy! I could tell Daisy was very happy and received great care. I would definitely book Carolyn again!!
I have trusted Carolyn to care for my dogs when I am away for over three years. She is an experienced caregiver and knowledgeable about larger, high energy breeds, like my huskies. She has been available and reliable to take them on their 2 daily walks and sends me photos and updates periodically. Carolyn has been a trusted part of our dogs lives !

Also, any medical concerns, restrictions, and your normal daily schedule would be helpful. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else when you’re away, so I like to maintain as close as possible to your regular routine.
A typical day
We walk our dog all around our neighborhood! While at home, we enjoy playing chase or tug of war inside or outside in our fenced backyard. Our dog Winter is very playful and loves having four-legged visitors, but he reads other dogs well and is respectful and calm if your dog is more mellow. I have a spare XL crate and clean food/water bowls, so you don’t have to transport your own if you’d like to use mine!
