I’m a 2nd year vet student with nothing but free time this summer. I started caring for dogs by working at a dog daycare for 1.5 years while also working at a vet clinic for a year. I’m comfortable with giving medications like pills, oral gel, top spots, and subcutaneous insulin shots. I have some practical knowledge of common medical conditions like diabetes. I help take care of a family cat with diabetes when I go back home to Texas, which goes without saying—I can take care of cats as well. My fur family includes a 6 year old lab/pointer mix, a 3 year old Akita, and two spoiled cats. My household also includes my boyfriend, whom currently works in the pet care industry as a dog bather (5 years of experience) and has worked in a dog daycare. We actually met at the dog daycare, taking care of dogs all day! He is devoted to taking care of your fur baby as well. As a side note: If you want your dog to go on a run, I’d love to run with your dog!
