Medically Trained Loving Caregiver

Pet care experience

Specialize in Senior Dogs, Blind, Diabetic & Dogs in Heat - and Pitbulls (my favorites). I'm experienced in and familiar with a wide variety of animals: birds, cats, dogs, horses (I used to train and show), rabbits, and snakes (I've worked with Serpentessa of New York and her Pythons). My Medical background (Harvard) sets me apart from the typical house- & pet-sitter: I'm fluent in many medical and health conditions. My last fur-baby, a Rescue Pitbull, came to me blind & diabetic, so insulin shots and charting blood sugar was the daily norm. Together, we learned how to safely navigate the world safely, with a Diabetic-appropriate diet and exercise. (I became her 'seeing-eye human'.) I pet-sit at your home for the comfort of your pet(s). Pets are happiest at home, and their safety and comfort are everything. It's my goal to keep their life as close to normal as possible, so the only thing missing is you. I'm currently working towards certification in Basic dog training. My approach is praise and positive reinforcement, with food rewards and/or Clicker. I also work with the "FluentPet" system of teaching pets to communicate via word-buttons (think of Staples store button, "That Was Easy"!). I successfully work with several dogs who consistently communicate using between 4 - 7 words. It's a game-changer when your dog can use their words!!! I am also available to provide "CONSTANT CARE" which is around-the-clock, 24-hours-per-day care, where I dedicate ALL my time to caring for your pets - UPON REQUEST

We have used Carolyn several times now and she is amazing. We have a dog with health problems who needs meds and needs to be monitored for unforeseen symptoms. Carolyn handles our 100 pound boy like a pro. Before we found her we had stopped going away because I didn’t trust anyone to care for him like I do. Carolyn is very responsible, mature, and trustworthy. For the first time we don’t have to worry about leaving our dog. She follows our instructions and sends us photos throughout her stay. I highly recommend her.

We were so pleased with the care Carolyn provided Kodiak; he was sorry to see her leave. She was responsible, trustworthy, and provided lots of attention and love. I would highly recommend Carolyn to anyone needing pet care.

Cats? Kids? * How does Dog do on-leash? Pulls? * Does Dog need to be ON-LEASH whenever outside? * What command does Pet follow? * Where does Pet sleep at night? Crate? Bed? Floor? * Pet(s) allowed on furniture? What is off-limits for pet? What is off-limits for me? * Pet(s) dietary needs? Are Training Treats (100% meat) or snacks allowed?
