Educated animal lover

Pet care experience

I’ve been obsessed with animals ever since I can remember, my very first job was walking dogs in my neighborhood at 8 years old. I’ve held a position as an animal care technician at a shelter for 3 years where I learned an incredible amount about dog and cat body language. I’ve learned how important physical and mental stimulation is and how it varies among breeds. I know how to properly fit a harness as well as how to restrain a dog properly and how to avoid conflict with other dogs and people. I believe in positive reinforcement training techniques and providing pets with the love and compassion that they deserve! I currently work at a vet hospital as a veterinarian assistant. I have experience giving injections, fluids and wrapping bandages and other basic pet first aid. I am certified fear free and have experience with handling and approaching fearful dogs and cats. I would love to take care of your pets as well as your home and provide a respectful environment that your pet can feel comfortable in.

Caroline is great, she's a great communicator and very flexible! She had carex for our babies previously. Due to a number of ongoing things, I had spaced on finding a sitter until the last minute before a weekend trip. Caroline was super cool, and the day before, agreed to care for our cat and tortoise! She was a lifesaver, definitely will contact Caroline again (sooner beforehand!) in the future to watch our babies!

Caroline was extremely responsive and sweet to our animals! She also agreed to watch a reptile after I walked her through the care. Definitely would love to book her in the future :)

Caroline was fantastic! She was able to stop by prior for a meet and greet, brought our packages that were left on the doorstep inside and handled our large pups with out problem! Highly recommend

I have a fenced in yard in my home and a dog/cat friendly and confident cat. I am willing to stay in a home or stop by as frequently as possible. I would love to take dogs for long walks where they can be enriched by the sights and smells of the outdoors and work in their leash manners.

Information Caroline S. would like to know about your pet

Let me know any special dietary restrictions, medications or other health concerns. I would benefit from knowing any reactivity your dog may have or sensitivity/ triggers to certain things. I would like to know how your dog walks on leash and any commands that may improve their behavior while I am taking care of them.

A typical day

I love to provide dogs with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. We can take walks throughout the neighborhood, practice commands and learn new ones. I can make food puzzles or stuff kongs for food motivated dogs.
