Hi! My name is Caroline, I’m 18 years old, and I cared for my loving and energetic Labrador and Rottweiler mix for 14 years. She passed just two years ago and our house hasn’t been the same since. However caring for Bella wasn’t easy, caring for a heavy shedding and super energetic takes a lot of patience, especially as a puppy. My family and I disciplined Bella with strong use of positive reinforcement to ensure that she was properly potty trained and behaved well (not chewing up our belongings, not jumping up on people). I also have experience in teaching simple tricks such as shaking paws. Although we no longer have our loving Bella with us, we have our cat Oliver! I have had him for about 10 years now. He is an in and out door cat so he does use the litter box. And even though he may be grumpy at times, he provides enough affection because of the way we treat him. If you have a pet that you love and care for, you almost know what it’s like to have your own child. The bond with a dog is special and something that I miss and hope to have again in the future and possibly gain from this experience.
