Pet care experience
hi all! Caroline here - thank you for taking a look at my profile. Looking after dogs and cats is second nature to me. I have my own dog who is a very cat friendly rescue but he is quite elderly and requires a lot of attention - so you can rest assured that your pet will be in the greatest of care when they come to visit. All pets have free reign of the downstairs of our home - including the back garden which is fully fenced off. The terrace that we live on is accessible via foot only so there is added safety in knowing that we are in a quiet neighbourhood without cars driving past the front window. Since dogsitting on Rover, I have looked after the following dog breeds: a West Highland White, Golden Retrievers, Poodle crosses (Cavapoo, Cockapoo, Maltipoo), a Toy Poodle, a Schnauzer, a Pug and a Shih Tzu. I have also looked after a couple of rescues - I find this to be the most satisfying work as I truly believe the best breeds are those in need and the confidence and trust that you see a rescue dog gain in you as a dogsitter is second-to-none. I am DBS checked and NPPV2 vetted (which is a special kind of vetting for people who work with the police). Both certificates are available to be seen upon request..please give me some warning though as I will need to sift through my paperwork prior to your arrival!
Reviews
Max had a great time with Caroline on two separate occasions! Caroline kept us updated with photos and messages which put our minds at ease. Caroline is knowledgeable and caring, and we feel that Max is safe and looked after when he's away from home. We'd highly recommend Caroline! Thank you :)
Another successful stay for Sonia at Caroline's place with daily updates, lovely walks, playful times and lots of love. Caroline is amazing and we're so grateful we found her. Sonia has such special bond with her and enjoys spending time with Crecho and Rosie. I would recommend her service to anyone!
Another great stay with Caroline for Teddy our Cockapoo. Caroline is always so imaginative with keeping Teddy stimulated and occupied during his time with her. We never worry when Teddy is with Caroline as we know he is in safe hands. Will be booking again with her in the near future.
Caroline is an amazing sitter! She took such good care of my dog Joca. Both Caroline and Alex kept me updated with pictures and how Joca was doing throughout the day. They were very friendly and I'll definitely be in touch again soon! They also have a lovely dog, Crecho, who is very cute and easy going, he gets on well with other dogs.

I live in central Reading which is super handy if you are travelling into town or even into London for work! The area I live in is super quiet and we have a lovely fenced back garden where your dog can catch some rays in the afternoon sun! Dogs are fed in their own space away from one another where boundaries can be respected.

Information Caroline O. would like to know about your pet
Please inform me if your dog has any behavioural issues such as hyperactivity, destructiveness or resource-guarding tendencies. It's important I understand this so I can either prepare the house accordingly or reconsider whether the dog is right for our environment. I prefer dogs whose energy levels are medium/low as I must consider my elderly dog's needs in and around the home
A typical day
Young or old, energetic or not so - I love to get your dog out and about 2-3 times a day for a walk down by the canal/river, in the park or around the neighbourhood. It is safe to say every dog always comes back to my house super tired! I take into consideration the energy levels of each dog - sometimes they will join my elderly rescue on a walk or sometimes they may go on their own with me or with another visiting dog, depending on their exercise needs. This is something that I will discuss with you. I truly believe that dogs should be able to communicate with each other without interference from me. If a dog doesn't like another one getting too close and barks, that is them indicating they need some space and those emotions aren't something I'll actively suppress. It's important that your dog feels they can communicate their every need whilst they are here staying with me. Of course if a dog is anxious, stressed or upset I will make sure they have some time on their own to decompress.

I work from home on Mondays and Fridays. If my husband is at home on the days I am not, he looks after visiting dogs. In this scenario, he would come to the Meet & Greet
