Pet care experience
I am really missing my furry friends back home in Ireland, where my parents have 2 golden retriever (puppies) and a rescue "whippety thing" (collie and whippet cross). I’ve grown up with dogs and never known my home to not have a dog in it. I am used to working with dogs of all shapes and sizes as I used to work in a dog shelter back home. I am happy to do a phone call before any job if you want to get to know me a bit more, I know leaving your pet with a stranger can be a bit scary so please ask me anything you like!

Caroline looked after my dog while I was away. He is a very nervous rescue, and finds it hard meeting new people but he loved Caroline- he was in safe hands and well looked after. Caroline is a natural!
Caroline is absolutely wonderful with dogs and pets of all nature. Her love for animals is clear to see and her practical knowledge of taking care of pets makes her the perfect candidate for this role. Caroline has helped me and my family working at our animal care shelter in Ireland. We rescue and Foster dogs who are often timid and/or traumatised. These are not the easiest dogs to care for. Caroline is quick to gain and keep the trust of the animal. She is patient, kind, loving and firm when needs be.

I am currently situated in Brixton so prefer to dog-sit in your own homes as 1) I find dogs relax more with strangers in their own environment and 2) my home is quite small and I don’t have a garden.

Please let me know if you’re dog has any specific personality traits I need to be aware of e.g. if they have any separation anxiety or are worries around new people. Also let me know if they prefer a quiet/calm environment or if they are more high energy and need to exert that.
A typical day
I would love to play with your dogs if you have any toys for them and to bring them little treats if they’re allowed. If they’re young I would be happy to teach them some basic tasks (sit/lie down/give paw) and play fetch/games with them in your garden.
