My childhood was full of animals of all kinds, from dogs, to rabbits, to lizards, to snakes, to birds and to fish. Sometimes all at once too! I come from a family of animal lovers and grew up with all kinds of pets. I’ve taken care of animals, including dogs, since the age of 8 when my live-in grandmother got a puppy. Since then, I rescued my British bulldog boy, Barkley, whom I adored up until he passed away 3 years ago. Since then I’ve taken pleasure in looking after other peoples pets, including cats, lizards, snakes, and dogs of all shapes and sizes - French bulldogs, Japanese spitz, Springer spaniel, Collie cross, Doberman-Poddle cross, Staffie and a pug! I’m used to the extra care of senior dogs (my regular is a 15 year old collie cross) with dementia, severe arthritis and mobility issues and personal and professional experience with the extra care of flat nose breeds.
