Pet care experience
I do not have any pets of my own for the sole purpose of being able to provide focused training and care for dogs who can’t be housed with other dogs, most commonly due to the initial barriers of reactive aggression. There are many other reasons why you may prefer to board your dog(s) in an environment where they are the only dog(s), and I am dedicated to being able to take care of them in my home as options are limited in such availability. Welcome to Canine Comforts, where your beloved pup finds a second home filled with love and care! As a certified canine behaviorist, I bring years of experience and expertise to ensure your dog's stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Dedicated to providing individualized attention, I only board for one client at a time. This ensures that your dog receives the undivided love and care they deserve, tailored specifically to their needs. Having dedicated myself to understanding and training dogs for years, I've honed my skills to create a nurturing environment tailored to their needs. From the moment your dog arrives, they're greeted with warmth and attention, making them feel right at home. My commitment to your dog's well-being goes beyond words. I strictly adhere to comprehensive health protocols, conducting thorough screenings and implementing meticulous cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Your dog's health and happiness are my top priorities, and I spare no effort in ensuring both are safeguarded. At Canine Comforts, your furry friend will have access to a spacious, dog-friendly home complete with a well-maintained backyard. Whether they prefer lounging indoors or frolicking in the yard, there's plenty of space for them to explore and unwind.
Reviews
Seniors/rescues: Happy campers!!!
I'm not sure if it was just because of the busy holiday week, however we had communicated with Caroline and were under the impression that our dogs would be the only ones in her care, however we ended up having to pick them up early and when we got there, there were five or six other dogs there that were also in her care. If we had known ahead of time that this would be the case, that would be completely fine, however it seemed dishonest in this case as we had specifically talked with her about how one of our dogs has some occasional aggression with other dogs so she needs to be in a home with no other pets.
My high-strung dog loves Caroline's daughters. He gets his own vacation while with them, and he is now a repeat customer!
Caroline did a great job with our x-large boy Hugo while we were gone for three weeks. She did everything we asked as well as extra training. He has some reactivity and we’d never ask someone else to work on that but she did without us needing to ask!

I do my best to create a routine for your dog that is most similar to their everyday life at home. If they are used to jogging 5 miles a day, I make it happen. If they normally sleep in your bed, I let them sleep in mine.

Being upfront and honest is the best way to start our pet care relationship to provide the best care possible for your pup. Your pet must not show signs of human aggression. Please provide any health conditions, behavioral issues (not housebroken, medication needs, separation anxiety, high prey drive) before or during a meet and greet.
A typical day
I live directly next to Stephen Day park, which is great for exploring and going for a fun walk. My home office is in the main floor of my house which is where dogs will spend most of their time during the day.
