Pet care experience
I worked in a local kennel during summer 2022 caring for cats and dogs every weekend. I have experience with many breeds of dogs, growing up we always had Rhodesian Ridgebacks so I’m used to big dogs. More recently I’ve adopted older cats but I have experience with younger cats too. I’ve spent time pet sitting for friends and family since childhood and more recently have gained experience looking after animals with additional needs and complex medical requirements. I also have experience with small animals, rescuing hamsters since 17.

Caroline is an amazing dog sitter but mostly an amazing person! She took so good care of our elderly dog Carmen, being extra meticulous with every piece of info we passed on to her. She sent daily updates about Carmen’s wellbeing accompanied by photos and videos. She even took Carmen on a lovely trip! I would definitely recommend Caroline to anyone who needs a reliable, quick to respond, caring and thorough dog sitter. Thanks Caroline and I will of course use your services again in the future.

I have a fenced garden for outdoor play and an open plan downstairs of the house. I live within walking distance for nice walks and on a quiet street for outdoor adventures. My partner would assist to look after the animal at times, he has experience with cats and dogs. I am DBS checked through my work and university.

I would like to know if your dog has any medical requirements or special diets and how they are when being walked. Whether or not they require walking somewhere quiet or if they don’t like meeting other dogs when out. I would like to be aware of your pets temperament and also which veterinary practice your pet is registered, in case of emergency.
A typical day
Locally to me there are lots of lovely walks or dog paddocks. I know safe areas to walk high energy dogs or quiet places for the more timid pet.

Availability
I’m currently studying nursing at university but my course is mainly online so I spend a lot of time at home. Due to the nature of my course there are periods in which I will not be home for prolonged periods of time thus affecting my availability. The days I am not at university are mainly spent at home but I would also be available for walks, drop ins and boarding either at my house or yours.
