Dog whisperer for your furry baby!

Pet care experience

I understand that pet sitting means keeping owners at ease just as much as the pets. For that reason I make sure to be in communication with owners throughout the day. Owners should expect at least three updates per day that include pictures/videos & short description of activities. I am comfortable walking, bathing, feeding, comforting, and playing with people's pets. I have up to four dogs in my home at any given moment so your pet may have a chance to socialize & play with other dogs. Pets must be house trained! If your pet does have an accident inside the home I will have to charge a cleaning fee of $20. Puppies under 1 year old are exempt but you must provide training pee pads. I ensure that all pets are able to have potty breaks every 2-4 hours. In consideration of my neighbors & other pets, I cannot accept dogs that bark uncontrollably at other dogs, people, or when left alone. I do Rover jobs throughout the week. I board & sit around 4 dogs a week. You can ensure that your pet will be at the top of my list 24/7. Every pet is different so I take time to understand the special needs of each one. I keep regular communication with the owner and do whatever I can to make sure your pet is comfortable while you’re away.

Carolina was extremely patient with my scared and shy puppy. I appreciated the updates and the extra care. I felt at ease while away knowing that my pup wasn’t alone.

Really traumatizing experience working with Carolina. I’ll probably never use Rover again due to the fact that you really can’t guarantee your dog is safe or comfortable with the sitter. I used Carolina one other time without issue, but the second time around was hell. Apparently my pup had had accidents with her the first time she stayed with Carolina for a long weekend and that wasn’t relayed to me until the second day into my vacation all the way in Hawaii at 6am. The text messages were so alarming and unprofessional to the point where I called my best friend to leave from work to go pick up my dog bc I was so terrified of what she was going to do. She mentioned placing my dog in a crate(which my dog has never been in a crate so I knew that would be traumatizing for her) as well as finally letting me know she was going to “leave her outside”, bc “this is way too much”. When I tell you I was shaking and crying most of the day bc I felt helpless and unable to do anything. I relayed to Carolina that maybe my pup was scared or nervous in the environment bc the things she was mentioning was happening I never had issues with. Throughout my explaining she did not make me feel any more secure or at ease that my dog would be safe to stay for the remaining 5 days. I even had to go as far as asking if I should have the rover emergency services pick up my pup and place her elsewhere. I just feel like I can understand a frustration if a dog has an accident in your home but to go as far as texting paragraph after paragraph about how upset you are does not make anything better. And for a sitter to be incapable of adjusting and communicating effectively makes things even more difficult. I just think if you need a piece of mind while thousands of miles away from your fur baby without worry this may not be the person for you. If you’re able to drop what you’re doing to get to your baby if necessary then maybe she’ll be a better fit. I think about how much my experience with her affected the first part of my vacation all the time which sucks. Ultimately I was able to process a refund and pay her for the time she did care for my baby and my best friend quickly went and got my girl and didn’t have a single problem. All in all the rover customer service staff was excellent with communicating with me and making sure nothing happened to my dog. I was in constant communication with them up until my pup was picked up. I am very grateful for that.

Carolina is great! She sends photos and videos throughout the day. She responds quickly to messages and is very prompt. I’ve been using her for about 4months now and I appreciate her.

A typical day

Your furry baby will have a blast at my place! I like to assess the personality of the pet to see what their favorite toys, treats & activities are. I love to tire dogs out so I know they've used up as much energy as they can for the day. Being around other dogs & having all-day access to the gated front yard gives lots of opportunities for play. My neighborhood has many fun places to explore, including a park that is a 10 minute walk away.
