My husband and I worked at a humane society for 4 years, from adoption counselor assistants, to dog walkers, and even taught classes to new-coming volunteers. We taught basic dog handling to volunteers as well as worked with aggressive animals in hopes of rehabilitating them by overcoming problems and negative behavior. Understanding dog language is key! I have taken a few classes on it, have worked with a behaviorist on my own dogs fearfulness, and have listened to more podcasts than I can count. Henry and Cali hate being kenneled, so we would like to help out others that have similar needs with their dogs. I am bery flexible and can do last minute visits often as long as I’m available. Dogs are the best thing in the world!
