Pet care experience
I am a snowbird so will not be available between May 1 and Nov. 1 I grew up on a small farm in Michigan and was surrounded by all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, horses and cows. My husband and I have owned two dogs; most recently a fun and feisty toy poodle. He died in my arms a few years ago. My husband and I are very active and would take your best friend for walks around Venice. Going to the dog beach is also an option. We are enjoying our carefree lifestyle and have decided not to own another pet. I would be the primary caretaker of your pet. We do not allow smoking in our home. I only take two dogs when they come from the same owner.

Thank you Carol and Tom for taking such good care of Stella. Not only did we have a nice vacation, Stella did as well. And we enjoyed ourselves that much more knowing she was in dog-loving compassionate hands.
April had a fantastic stay with Carol and Tom. I was a bit nervous as April gets separation anxiety and is an old dog but she immediately felt comfortable in their home. Carol provided great updates and helped keep me assured April was happy and enjoying her own mini-vacation! April is looking forward to her next stay, thanks for taking such great care of my pup.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs. I prefer dogs that are quiet at night and can be left alone for a couple of hours during the daytime. Non shedding is preferred but not mandatory.
A typical day
Your dog will be part of the family when they stay with me. If your dog loves long walks we will go on long walks. If your pup likes to snuggle she will have lots of snuggle time. Your pup will get to explore the neighborhood and walk down Venice Ave where there are lots of good smells.
