Pet care experience
Hello! Let me tell you about myself! I worked for a veterinarian for 4 years, then owned and operated a successful dog grooming business for 16 years in Indiana. I also provided in-home pet care for various clients during that time, though not via Rover. I closed my business and moved here to NC (Carolina Trace) a few years ago and am now (2024) jumping back into what I love most, working with pets! If I am providing Drop In service, I can also bring in your mail. water your plants, feed your fish, etc., if you would like. I have taken care of senior pets, puppies, and special needs pets, cats, and birds and provided some basic pet raining for clients. I would love to take care of your babies, when you cannot be there. Carol is a natural with animals! For many years she ran her own pet grooming business and has handled hundreds of dogs and cats (including ours) with many satisfied customers. She always added special little touches after grooming like a pretty bow etc.. During adverse weather conditions, I will adjust a walk or outdoor time for your pet's protection and comfort. If I do not feel I can safely walk your pet due to heat, especially with brachycephalic breeds and seniors, I will take them out to potty and then right back indoors. During walks in the summer, I will carry water for your pet’s hydration if needed, avoid other dogs on the route, and keep a sharp eye out for snakes and other dangers.

Please let me know what your pets love, and if they have any special needs or allergies so I can be cognizant of those. I would love to know their personality, their full name, and ALL versions of their name that you use. Let me know all their quirks; do they swallow food & treats whole, do they like to potty in a certain area, do they like the tv on etc, so I can keep them happy and healthy. (Please do not ask me to give them any kind of rawhide during my visit, as those can be a choking hazard)

When I arrive at your home, I will greet your pet by name and provide the love and attention that they crave, along with meeting the needs you are hiring me for. If you are looking for someone to treat your pet like their own, that has an amazing work ethic, I am your pet person!

Availability
Pet care is my full-time profession, so my schedule is very flexible. I do not guarantee exact drop-in times unless previously arranged (for pets who require medication or puppy/senior dogs who may have a more rigid potty schedule). I will never rush a pet visit, rather I will spend the time necessary to provide love, comfort, and care for each client's pet(s).
