Hi! I’m a RN that recently retired. Now I have lots of time, & I can’t wait to play with your fur-baby! I love all dogs but limit my care to those under 30 lbs., most are 10-20 lbs. This is their home away from home. Li’l Pooch Playhouse is my full time commitment. No kennels, constant human & canine socialization & love. It’s an environment that will cause so much less stress for your dog. Here they are free to roam inside & outside with my private, fenced & shaded backyard. I offer custom sleeping accommodations. Many of the dogs that return run to my home with enthusiasm. I offer daycare & boarding, walks & visits. I board a maximum of 5 dogs at a time, but usually less. Thus, I’m easily able to give them all the love & attention they deserve. There’s No “additional charge” for extra cuddle time here! I have plenty of experience with dogs. My grandmother raised German Shepherds. So I grew up with dogs. I have 30 years experience with my own pets, plus those of my friends and family. As a RN, I'm acutely aware of health issues. A professional's eye will be watching your dog. I will promptly contact you with any health concerns. Bailey, my 14 yr old beagle/poodle mix, passed away 7/18/21. He was a loving part of my family. So, I know how important your baby is to you. I take the care of your loved one seriously, & I understand the obligation of my commitments. Once you are booked, I will not cancel on you. In Jan, 2022 I rescued a playful 12 lb 6 mo old Maltese/Terrier mix. Gracie is 2 years old now. She is still very active, playful, & social. But she is also sensitive to older dogs & their needs. She loves her roommates & has grown up with many. I call her my “Activity Director”. You will enjoy meeting her. I love taking pictures & videos of the funny expressions or things they do. When you board with me I’ll send daily pictures along with updates on how they’re eating, sleeping & getting along with others. (My Rover score for daily photos is not accurate as I frequently send videos that must go thru your regular cell phone number.)

Just picked Jasper up after his first ever boarding! Carol was amazing. We received daily updates with videos and info on how he was doing. We knew he was in good hands. Thanks so much!!!!!!!
This was our first trip we used Carol to take care of our dog. She does a great job and we will continue to use her services. So easy to work with, excellent communication and nice daily videos of dog activities. We also appreciated the option of pre-visit tour in her house.
Carol is great. I was eager to find a new sitter as we just moved to the area and decided to do a trial daycare day. In the afternoon she sent a photo with a summary of his personality and how he was doing. She nailed his personality within a few hours of meeting him so she clearly takes the time to observe the dogs and get to know them individually. It will take my shy dog some time to get comfortable at her place and with her pack but after the first day, I am very confident this will happen. I plan to use Carol for daycare and overnight sitting in the future.

I’m a dog lover, not just a dog owner. My dogs are part of my family & I treat them as such. The pups have free rein of my house & furniture. Bailey used to sleep under my bed. Gracie sleeps next to me. I usually allow the dogs to pick their favorite spot, or we can use your crate if you’d prefer. I want your pet to feel comfortable & loved. That’s the advantage of home daycare & boarding. They can stay on their schedule & be in a comfortable more familiar environment. They’ll be safe w/ 24/7 supervision, & have all the love & attention they deserve. They’re able to socialize with other dogs & still get the human affection they crave. It causes so much less stress.

I’ll need to know your dog’s schedule and any special needs they may have…Any behaviors I should monitor. Do they get in the trash, or destroy cloth toys? How do they communicate that they want to go out? Or need something else? Do they have food aggression, separation anxiety or health issues? I want your dog not only to feel safe but stay safe. Your dog has additional insurance with me through PCI. He or she is covered for any unforeseen injuries or illness. Please no aggressive dogs, females in heat, or dogs not house trained. I’d like to meet you & your pup before drop off so we can talk & you feel comfortable where your dog will be staying. I’ll also be evaluating your dog’s behavior & socialization. The Meet & Greet will take 30-60”. Vet records w/ up to date Rabies, & Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza & Parvo combo required. Bordetella within 6 months required. Flea/tick protection required. My hours are flexible. You can drop off or pick up anytime between 8:00 am & 8:00 pm., 7 days a week. I give a 3 hour leeway between drop off & pick up times. If your pick up is more than 3 hours after your drop off, an additional daycare fee will be calculated. I do have a 7 day cancellation policy. If you have to cancel within 7 days, half of the boarding fee is forfeited. I will take loving care of your little pup! I hope to see you soon!
A typical day
Gracie loves to play with toys, puzzles, balls and tug-of-war ropes. So I have many. If your dog likes to run & wrestle, she will keep them busy. It’s a fun aerobic exercise!

Availability
Small dog petsitting is my only obligation. It’s my full time commitment. The dogs are under almost constant supervision, both inside & out, 24/7. I may run errands or have an appointment but I won’t be gone long. When I do leave, your dog will be safe in its own separate area or paired with a friend. I offer frequent potty breaks every 1-3 hours. They can romp around & explore to their hearts’ content in my private, shaded, fenced backyard.
