Hi there! My name is Carmen, and I’ve been caring for pets personally since I was 8, with my first cat. Growing up, I had various types of animals that I was responsible for: a cat, a German Shepherd, and several reptiles/amphibians. After college, I managed a pet boarding/dog daycare facility for a year, where my ability to care for other people’s pets increased exponentially. I’ve routinely helped pet sit for my friends and family when they have been out of town. I have also managed a farm and a ranch, and have experience with livestock of ALL sizes and species. My partner and I currently have two dogs and a cat. My dog, Baker, is a 7 year old Blue Heeler mix who I rescued six years ago. She and I went through comprehensive training together, and she is now certified through the American Kennel Club as a Canine Good Citizen! I have experience with fish, rats & other rodents, and all types of reptiles & amphibians! I have grooming experience as well in regard to bathing and nail trims. I am working toward goals of eventually being able to foster animals in need of temporary housing as well - and the extra income I can earn here is helping me save up for a home with a yard to be better suited for my goals. :) I truly love all animals and deeply believe in creating loving, stimulating environments for our companions to thrive in.
