Carmen did a fantastic job watching our puppy. Our dog has a lot of anxiety meeting new people and he adjusted to her very quickly. She kept us updated with how he was doing while we were on vacation. We will definitely be using her again in the future.

To Whom It May Concern: My name is Candace, and I am a pet parent with a rescue dog and 2 parakeets, and a close friend of Carmen. I was elated to learn that she was applying to Rover, and I am more then happy to share with you why she is the best candidate for this job. I have known Carmen for 1 year now, and she is a true animal lover. Her sensitivity to potential animal stressors, her level of understanding how to effectively communicate with animals, and her natural desire to be a nurturer to furry friends that are in her life are all examples of why I highly recommend her. Carmen is a pet parent and is the first person who comes to mind when my Shepherd mix, rescue pup needs a quick walk while I am away at work and/or stuck in traffic, I also think of her when he needs someone to keep him company overnight while I am out of town. I myself am often overly concerned about the level of care that my dog will receive when I am not around. My timid rescue pup, Riker, is often anxious and easily startled, by loud noises, new environments, and other dogs. Carmen has always put Riker at ease by remaining soft spoken when around my anxious pup. She also understands the importance of keeping Riker at a safe distance away from other dogs he doesn’t know. Furthermore, Carmen is your best candidate for a Pet caretaker because of her open availability. She is often available for lunch break walks while I am far away at work, and she’s also available for walks after work, while pet owners are stuck in traffic or still at the office. Carmen also has most weekends free to take care of furry friends. Not only does Carmen have a flexible schedule, but she is centrally located in DownTown San Diego. Which means that dogs in need of a last minute walk or daycare will not have to wait very long, because Carmen is just around the corner. In addition to her love for animals, open schedule, and accessibility, she also has reliable transportation to safely, and responsibly arrive to destinations. Lastly, I would like to speak to the level of trust that Carmen and I share. It is not easy allowing someone in your home when you’re not there, to take care of the most important thing in the world to you, but I know I can trust Carmen with open access to my home and with my FurBaby, Riker. I am excited to learn that Carmen has this great opportunity to walk and take care of Furbabies professionally, for busy pet parents like myself so that others can share in the peace of mind that I get when I know that my pup is in good hands.
