Pet care experience
I have been the proud and loving owner of numerous dogs over the years, mostly mid to large sized breeds. I have also previously worked as a kennel assistant at a small practice veterinary clinic, as veterinary assistant at an animal hospital (VERG located in Brooklyn) and as a handler at a boarding facility. I understand the potential stress it puts on dogs to be away from their owner(s) and do everything possible to alleviate that.

We have 2 English bulldogs and a Shih Tzu and they love Carmen. She has been sitting for us for over 4 years now and there is no one else we trust with our babies. When my husband and I go on vacation, she house/pet sits for us as we do not like to board our dogs. She also dog sits for the day or hours as needed. She understands the temperament of each dog and caters to each one. Carmen treats our babies as if they were her own.
I have known Carmen for at least ten years and have used her to dog sit for me just as long. Whether it was due to my hectic job schedule or a two week vacation, she has always proven herself as reliable, trustworthy and an excellent dog caregiver. She can be trusted to remain in your residence overnight(s) and her previous experience of working at a vet clinic also was a plus for me hiring her. My three dogs all love her!
Carmen was a god sent when I was recruiter in the Air Force. She would tend to my Yorkie Martin and often spend the night due to my work schedule and conflicts. Time, attention and love all provide. I have never seen animals warm up to a person the way that she did with Marty. Great care giver....

I am comfortable and experienced with almost all breeds. Before sitting, it is important that I know if older are starting to lose their senses so that I take extra precaution to not startle them. I also need to know if they are aggressive toward other dogs so I am prepared when walking them.
A typical day
An active dog, is a happy dog. My dogs will enjoy walks to local parks and belly rubs in the warm sun if desired and weather permits.
