Growing up, I lived in a house hold that was closely linked to the local animal shelter. We would have 10-12 dogs at a time (everything from chihuahuas, pit bulls, golden retrievers, rottweilers, labs, yorkies, to great danes!), multiple cats, birds, bunnies, reptiles, and even fish. My grandmother would often adopt and foster any and all dogs that were next in line to be put down in order to make space in the shelter, and we would give them a home where they'd feel nothing but love for the rest of their life. I would assist in bathing, feeding, and grooming, as well as keeping them entertained. Taking care of animals is something I'm passionate about and it brings me back to my roots. I currently have a 7 year old bearded dragon names Draco pictured above :)
