Pet care experience
I grew up with different pets: rabbits, birds, dogs and now I have a cat. I've used this service as an owner and now I want to give back. As a caretaker for pets, I look to try keep your pet's routine as similar as possible. I know what it's like to change the routine for a pet and how it might be difficult for both owner and pet. My goal as a caretaker is to make sure both you and your pet are comfortable. I have taken care of senior dogs and have no problem going on jogs or, light walks, or just sitting in company. I can adapt to your pet and look forward to get to know them and their unique personalities.

Carmen has been taking care of my 9 year old French Bulldog Dylan for half a decade at least, and he could not love her more. She was my go-to person for dog walking, short-term and long-term dog sitting before she moved away from NYC. She's responsible, communicative, punctual and most importantly, incredibly caring. I guarantee that if you book Carmen, your dog will meet their new best friend!
Carmen is a natural caretaker. I've known her to be a loving sister (of 7!), daughter, and friend for over 10 years. She is also a cat mom, having rescued Cheo in New York. I remember her cat when he had just arrived: he was super anxious and untrusting. I got to visit her in her new SB home this week and was happy to see that her cat Cheo was looking healthy, calmer; even his fur was glowing. He's still a spooky cat (black with yellow eyes) and Carmen definitely nurtures his inner quirky by being playful yet respectful. Another thing, Carmen is an aunt, which is a superpower in and of itself. She's got about 6 nieces and nephews, all younger than 15. I love that I get to see her grow into an imaginative, loving, and responsible aunt.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or any recent changes in behaviors that you've noticed. It is important to know if your dog does well with other dogs or kids/humans so that I can plan our play time. I am very observant and like to spend time just getting to know your pet. If your dog is high energy- what is the typical playing time? What toys do they like to play with? Is your dog the type to go for the exercise or more smell everything and explore? Anything you can share about your dog is helpful.
A typical day
I love playing fetch with dogs. Or going to find the best stick in the park. I usually stay around areas that the dog is used to for walks. I like Shoreline Park but open to learn more about what areas the dogs are used to.
