Pet care experience
Growing up I had a border collie mix who was very high-energy and needed a lot of stimulation. I've pet-sat for friends and family too. I know what it takes to care for athletic animals that need lots of activity, and I love to see how happy it makes them too! I supported my dog in her senior years too and have experienced providing that little bit of extra care that is needed as dogs age. I am an animal lover through and through and taking care of pups truly warms my heart. My boyfriend and I are young professionals new to Kingston. We would love to add a pup to our fam but we know isn't the right time for us yet. I am hoping some play time with your furry friend will cure that puppy fever!

Carmen came prepared to walk my furry girl in inclement weather! My pup likes to walk whatever the weather is outside and she was thrilled to see Carmen again! I can tell that they have a great time together.
Carmen doesn't let traffic issues keep her from a commitment to a pet. She arrived cheerfully and punctually for my furry girl's walk much to my dog's excitement and happiness on THE morning of the Solar Eclipse! I appreciate the extra planning Carmen put into keeping the appointment. She understands the importance of exercise and a good friendship with pups. My pup loves to see her!
Carmen has a calming, gentle approach to pets and my high energy 2 year old golden doodle responded very well to her. You would think they had been friends for years! Carmen is punctual, professional and can easily manage a 58 lb. pup on an energetic walk.
Carmen did a great job! She's very friendly and Stella really enjoyed her walks. We will definitely rebook Carmen in the future.

I love all dogs, big & small! Please let me know beforehand if your dog has any specific needs, is prone to certain behaviours or needs extra support of any kind. Also, note how well your dog interacts with other dogs and people (especially children) so I know what to be prepared for on walks.
A typical day
Growing up with a high-energy dog means I know what it takes to give your dog the mental and physical stimulation that they need. I love taking pups for extra long walks, playing games at home or the park, and can bring your dog to the dog park for some social time (if you know your dog gets along well with other dogs). If you know your dog is good on a leash I am also able to take them for a run with me in the warmer weather (up to 5k, I'm no marathoner). I am open to a variety of activities so just let me know what your dogs enjoy the most!

Availability
I am available Friday-Monday during the morning, afternoon & evening for check-ins and walks. I am currently working Tuesday-Thursday. On those days I am available in the evenings for check-ins and walks. My work schedule is somewhat variable so I may be able to accommodate other times too, just reach out and ask!
