Hello. I am dog lover and certified teacher. Here to take the very best care of your pets and home so you can focus on enjoying your time away. I've been petsitting for over 30 years, and managed a kennel of 30 huskies for 11 years. I have canine first aid knowledge and experience, as well as intimate experience with literally hundreds of dogs! All of whom, I love, and pride myself on their care and lifelong wellbeing. I am extremely detail oriented and clean! I try to leave your place a bit cleaner than when I arrived. I am here to provide the BEST care for your pets while keeping your house lived in, plants watered and your place safe. I have been dog/cat/fish/plant/housesitting around the Anchorage area for many years now. I prefer long term sitting, tho am sometimes available for shorter stints as well. Carmen has dog/house sit for me on numerous occasions over the past ten years. She is very trustworthy and my dogs absolutely LOVE her! She is definitely an animal person and is very in tune with different types of animal personalities. She's great at giving medications and knows lots of tricks for getting stubborn dogs to take their pills etc. Carmen is very detailed oriented and doesn't miss a beat. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet and or house sitter.

She is the most attentive pet caretaker I know. My friends and I joke that when we come home after Carmen has been house sitting, the pets don't seem to care that we were gone and are sad to see Carmen leave. Also, she has many years of experience as a former kennel manager. She is the person I call with health questions before deciding to go to a vet. She is very experienced and you'd be lucky to have her take care of your pets or your home.

I will be studying online from your home, and am around and present for your pet’s needs. I get out at least once per day for exercise, and can accommodate more exercise and play as well.
