Pet care experience
I love animals of all kinds and hanging out with them is one of my favorite things to do.. I grew up with one of those families that always had pets. We had some great dogs and a cat who sparked my sincere affection for animals. I was that kid that named every animal and wanted them all to come home with me. As a teen, I helped take care of a lot of dogs for neighbors and friends. I was even given the opportunity to help with a breeder of AKC German Shepherds. That summer was spent taking care of the newest litter. Nowadays I have two amazing girls of my own. One is a rather large Great Pyrenees named Luna. She can be incredibly aloof and serious as she demonstrates her livestock guardian roots. She’s also one of the most affectionate pups. She needs lots of cuddles when she has a bad dream. The other pup is my old lady shepherd. She can be anxious and definitely took some time to adjust to her new home with me. At her most relaxed, you would think she lived her whole life taking over every bed and couch. Making my girls happy is one of the more important things to me as a pet parent. That’s why I do enjoy spending my time helping ease the load of some really great pet parents. I enjoy my time walking some of my regular furry friends daily and weekly. It’s also just as much of a treat to catch up with some of my less frequent clients on a drop in basis while their parents have a special event or vacation planned. I’m here to treat your loved ones with as much care as you do. I’m here to treat them like my own two.

It's always a little scary leaving your cat at home alone no matter how independent they appear. I reached out to Carmela and got to meet her and she immediately put me at ease. She took such great care of Freya while we were out of town making sure her care didn't suffer despite us not being home. She got the love and attention she craved on her time while her needs were also met. Carmela's care was able to keep my worries rested so we could enjoy our trip.

From cleaning litter boxes to making sure your pup has the best walk of their day, I'm here to help take care of the furriest members of your family when you have other things going on. I have two pups at home who absolutely hate when I'm gone. I understand the guilt and anxiety that being away from your pets can trigger. That's why I make sure that I create a nurturing and low stress environment in all of my interactions with animals in my care. Medication administration should be as calm and comfortable as possible so I always take my cues from your pet and go at their own pace. It’s important to me that your pet trusts that I am here to protect and care for them as much as you do. I’m here to keep things calm, safe, and enjoyable while your fur baby is in my care.

Tell me what your fur babies like. What are their favorite treats? What kind of scratches get their leg moving? What kind of cuddles and pets get the purring rolling? It’s also just as important for me to know what makes them anxious. It’s okay if we need to structure a walk or drop in with their fears in mind. It’s important for me to never put your pet into a situation that could lead to more damage than good.
A typical day
Consistency is important so if I'm overnight sitting, I'll be letting their normal routine run the show. I find it tends to lessen the stress of their parents being away. I'll take yours and their lead to make sure my time with them makes them feel loved and cared for. We want happy and relaxed pups and kitties when you get back.

Availability
Right now I'm primarily available Fridays through Sundays any time. If you're needing help outside of that time frame, I have a lot less flexibility. Drop me a message and we can see if I can accommodate what you need. I want to make sure that your expectations are met to your satisfaction, so communication is key.
