Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Carly and I've lived with dogs, cats, rabbits, lizards, fish, and rodents throughout my life. I began pet-sitting at the age of 12, providing services to my neighbors with multiple pet families who struggled to find adequate boarding for their pets (dogs, cats, lizards, rabbits, birds, rodents), many with special circumstances. I've cared for and attended to pets with complex medical conditions, requiring regular medications, climate controls, and special attention. I love animals, long walks, and playing countless hours with very active dogs. I have had a variety of dog breeds in my adult life including a rescued pit mix, and Great Pyrenees, and currently enjoy the company of a very active Yorkiepoo who requires a lot of exercise and a ton of fetch! My commitment to pets comes first and I know first hand the challenges and concerns that come with leaving your loved ones in another's care. I look forward to getting to know you and your pets so that you can rest easy knowing they're happy, healthy, and well cared for.

I'm accustomed and comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I have had adoptive dogs in the past with a variety of behavior challenges and simply ask that you're as transparent as possible when providing me information about your individual pet's needs. Please let me know any non-negotiables or sensitivities your dog may have so we can ensure the best experience possible for your pet while you're away.
A typical day
I provide frequent potty walks, every hour to 2 hours depending on the frequency in which your dog eats and drinks. For active dogs I typically take them on a long AM walk around the neighborhood, (up to several miles, if your dog is up for it!) when temperatures are low so they don't get overheated. If your dog is social and enjoys the company of other dogs and or enjoys playing fetch, I typically go to the nearest dog park every afternoon/evening for additional exercise and play time. If you have specific preferences or prefer your dog not be exposed to certain elements I am very respectful and honor you and your dog's individual needs.
