To all dog owners out there, our dogs are more than just pets, they're an extension of our family. And just as with children, you would never leave them with someone untrusted. Luckily, that’s of no concern when leaving your dogs with me. I'm Carly, a deeply dog loving 32 year old who is looking forward to spoiling your loved ones. I have varying experiences with all kinds of dogs. I grew up with a miniature poodle, I’ve fostered a special needs pug while in college, my husband had a 100 lb pitbull while we dated, I had a senior rescue bully for a few years before his passing, and have dogsat my best friend’s pug-weenie numerous times over the years. I love dogs and am understanding of behaviors of those big and small, active and couch potato, young and old.

This is our first experience with Rover and we’re so glad to have connected with Carly. Winston is a senior dog with a lot of anxiety, but he seemed so at ease under her care. Maka had a fantastic time at Carly’s beautiful, cozy, clean and dog safe home. Carly made sure to keep me updated throughout the day including sending the cutest pictures. I will definitely be contacting her again for future daycare services and boarding💗
Carly took great care of my anxious dog Petey and was very friendly and flexible with the time. She also sent regular pics and updates throughout the stay. She was great!

I live with my husband in Santa Ana in our own home in a private community. We have an enclosed front yard and enclosed backyard. The backyard has access via a doggy door as needed also. Our senior rescue pitty passed not long ago, so we still have many of his amenities to help keep your dog comfortable within the home as well. Dogs are allowed on the couch, and in the bed with me as long as my husband is away at work for the night :P (he is a firefighter). If I had to leave the house, I would love to take your dog with me if they are social and enjoy car rides. Otherwise, your pet would have free range of the home, access to the backyard from the doggy door, and we have a camera in the living room and backyard to keep tabs on them also.

I would primarily want to know your dog's temperament around other dogs. I have no dogs currently living with me in my home so it is no problem if they are not dog social. If I were to take them to a friend's or out in public on a walk I would just want to know how to keep everyone most comfortable.
A typical day
As a bit of a home body myself, I am happiest to cuddle up at home with your fur friend for the day with plenty of intermittent walks, snacks, and play time out back. Very high energy dogs are not my fortè (see: experience with pitbulls!), but I am happy to go for car rides, the beach, or (if they are dog-social) I have plenty friends nearby with dogs for a playdate as well.
