Hey there! My name is Carly and I’m a recent Columbia graduate living in Harlem. I grew up around dogs and worked in animal shelters since I was a kid! Since then I’ve lived with roommates’ dogs, ranging in size from a chihuahua to a Great Pyrenees. I’ve also fostered 7 dogs with a local rescue including puppies, older dogs, and even a 120lb Newfoundland! In caring for these pups I learned how to effectively deal with a range of issues (leash reactivity, dog aggressive dogs, people aggressive dogs, etc.), but mostly I just love giving them lots of love and a comfy home to relax in. Although I can’t commit to a dog of my own just yet, I’m more than happy to have a buddy to hang with me in my apartment. I work from home a lot and am around for weekend boarding. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

We had a great experience with Carly. She watched our 3-year-old lab mix for a weekend and we felt he was in great hands. She sent tons of photos and updates. She responded to our messages very quickly and was helpful in setting up a meet and greet before we dropped him off to make sure he was comfortable with her.
I recently got a quarantine puppy which has been so amazing but difficult now that I’m headed back to work. Carly has been great as both a day sitter and a boarder. Puppies come with sleepless nights and energetic days but Carly didn’t seem to have any issues at all! You can just tell how much she loves dogs and how good she is with them. Carly also introduced him to what is now his favorite dog park and now we go all the time!
I have a difficult Shiloh Shepherd who’s big and smart and can sometimes be a lot to handle. All that’s to say Carly did a great job with my girl. Carly sent me lots of updates after every walk and made sure my dog was happy and tired by the end of the day, just how a working breed loves to be. Carly’s knowledge of general training really helped as well, and I honestly wouldn’t have my dog stay with anyone else when I’m away. She also kept my dog on schedule and I really appreciated that.
