Hello! I am 23 years old, currently pursuing my bachelor's in social work at the University of Arkansas - Fort smith. I have previously worked as a vet tech and have previously rescued and fostered domesticated exotic animals and provided care to these animals until they were healthy and ready for a forever home. I do have 2 two dogs, two cats, two birds and 1 hedgehog. All were rescues that I had grown attached to and decided to keep. My two dogs are outside, my two cats are inside, and my hedgehog and birds are in their cage in a room that won't be accessible to any other pets. They are all up to date on shots and are very healthy. 1 of my dogs is a daschund/basset hound mix. He was very sick when we got him and will be on medication for the rest of his life. He has very low immune system so I do ask respectfully that any dog I am dog sitting have had their shots already. My other dog is a husky/pit bull mix. He is a very healthy loving boy. I know that some people feel pit bull breeds are sketchy, but both genetic factor and environmental factor was taken into consideration when we brought him home. Both his mother and father had no past experiences with aggressiveness and both had amazing temperament. Since we brought him home very young I have been his only experience regarding his environmental factor; therefore, I raised him with the focus of having amazing temperament. Both of my dogs are very sweet, they both grew up around all kinds of animals and they are very sweet-natured and both have amazing temperament. They have never been aggressive towards any type of animal. Temperament is one of the top priorities I focus on when raising any of my animals. I also focus on the genetic factor if it's available for any of my animals as well. There is no need to worry about aggressiveness from any of my animals. If your pup does have a tendency to become aggressive or have a short temperament with things, people, or other animals please let me know, so I can take extra pre caution prior to him/her arriving to make sure your pup doesn't feel the need to become that way. I want your pup to feel at home, safe, calm and stress free while staying with my family.
