Hey there! I’ve had a dog in my home for the past 14 years (two Havanese in a row), and plenty of dog sitting experience for other families. I have helped dog sit for a family with two Greyhounds, another with a Chihuahua, and my aunt and uncle’s two Golden Retrievers. I have also helped watch (basically doggy day care with supervision) my friend’s dogs with her while her family was out of town. Since being away at college, last year my roommate adopted a dog and I was a big part of that process. While she was away for weekends, classes, or just doing her own thing I helped take care of him in our apartment- food, water, training, LOVE, playtime, and walks. I have now house- and dog-sat for her as well while she was out of town, I stayed at her house this year. I regularly participate in the local shelter “Happy Hour” program that lets me bring dogs to my apartment and give them some love and playtime away from those stressful and loud areas of the shelter. I am home a lot due to my class schedule and studying a lot, so most of my days I’m just sitting around. I can definitely accommodate for active dogs and lazy dogs alike- playtime is a must! Zoomies are great too, your dog can romp around my apartment and patio, or pass out on the couch or wherever their little heart desires.
