Animal-Lover in Duck Pond

Pet care experience

I love animals, of all shapes and sizes (including scaly, finned, and feathered). I have grown up caring for and training all sorts of pets, including parrots, koi, and reptiles. I began dog-walking and babysitting (human and fur-kids) at 12 years old for extra spending money and excelled at it. During my undergraduate at FSU (where I received a BA in English), I worked for a Dog daycare and grooming facility. I absolutely loved it and have decided to pick this up as a side venture. I was also the captain of the FSU Equestrian team for Dressage (and have been riding since i was 8) and worked as a working student at an eventing barn, so I have experience working with your hoofed friends as well! I am no stranger to large or willful dogs and will happily exercise even the most energetic of companions! Why I love dog sitting Dogs have been a major part of my life since I was born. My mother is a huge animal lover, so there was no shortage of animals in our house. She likes to say that I learned to walk by leaning on our Old English Sheepdog, Priscilla. After Priscilla passed away at the age of 13, my parents were heartbroken, but I begged for another dog. Within a few months, we took in a neglected 10 month old Weimaraner, Dante. I took a strong interest in training and rehabilitating Dante, who hadn't had much love or kind human contact in his life. I had dreams of teaching him to run agility courses, but he was never suitable. At the age of 12, I started dog-walking for a neighbor who had a schnauzer. By word of mouth, I managed to grow my "business" to several clients. I also began babysitting human kids as well. When I went off to college, I desperately wanted to adopt a dog, but knew that I should wait until I was more stable. Finally in 2012, I adopted my very own hound/pit mix named Leela, who is the light of my life. My experience administering medication I am comfortable giving oral medication

Carly took excellent care of Virgil while I was away. He was able to stay at home instead of experiencing the stress and anxiety that comes with a kennel for him. I came home to a relaxed and happy pup. It was great!

Carly is great with Magic and the cats. Magic loved playing with her dog and we appreciate her watching and playing with him!

Carly is a dog lover. She knows all about the healthcare of animals as well as how to make them have fun. Anytime that I've had any questions about my dog she has been one hundred percent correct with her advice. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and how to handle them. I would definetly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. -Chloe B

Information Carly C. would like to know about your pet

If he has any special needs or requirements, each dog is different. I would also like to know if he/she knows any commands. I love all dogs! (Seriously). I do not have a breed preference and have had exposure to a wide variety of breeds and types. From the tiniest teacup to the most gigantic (my parents now have a 140lb mastiff!). Pitbulls will always have a soft spot in my heart, my boyfriend has two that I consider to be a part of my family.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog I am very flexible where amount of time is concerned and can adapt to your comfort level. Extra house-sitting services Yes, absolutely.
