Pet care experience
I have over 20 years experience caring for animals and have 1 french bulldog and a cat (maincoon) of my own. Sadly our chocolate lab has passed. I have always loved working with animals! So much so, that I opened a dog walking/ pet sitting business in San Francisco. I miss working with animals and to this day so am hoping to fill that void by meeting some more furry friends here in Pittsburgh. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages and temperaments and animals know I’m an animal person. I was an active volunteer dog walker/trainer at the Sfspca and helped rehome dogs and know how to make dogs feel welcome and loved outside of their home environment. I'm that person that doesn't mind cooking food for your pet, and will go the extra mile to make your loved one comfortable. I love to exercise, am punctual, attentive and detail oriented and will ensure your dog/cat is happy while you’re gone. Expect updates and lots of pictures. I am a pet photographer and love to capture moments and share them with you of your loved one(s) having a good time. I have dog training experience and am happy to help with basic obedience using positive reinforcement training methods.

Carly went above and beyond to help our cats feel loved and cared for while we were away. She is an extremely good communicator and takes GREAT pictures too!
Carly and her family were the perfect fit for Brownie, our lab, during our 3 week vacation. Brownie had other dogs, a cat and children to keep her busy and happy, plus frequent walkabouts in the neighborhood with Carly. Carly is an exceptional caretaker. She sent us pictures and videos along with frequent updates so we never worried about our long absence. I recommend Carly wholeheartedly.
Carly is THE BEST! not only does she love ALL the doggers, she is incredibly experienced in all aspects of caring for our dogs (my babies☺️). We do not have a fenced yard but have a large yard we roam in leashed and a large deck that we can close and relax on as well. We are a 5 minute walk from Schenley park/ Frick park and live in a very beautiful, walkable area in squirrel hill. I’m a fan of traveling to other destinations if your furry friend likes adventure via car. Any animal that stays with us is treated like family. They get free range of the house and we will follow your care guidelines to keep them happy and comfortable. Many dogs here have bed privileges and having them join for story time in the evening in my youngest sons favourite. If they stay in my home, they must be good with other dogs, a cat and 2 boys aged 6 & 11. If you want me to stay in your home, I'm happy to do that as well. I realize there may be more than animal care needed when you're gone and I'm happy to help with additional items like bringing in mail, watering plants etc.

Let me know if you have any special needs when you reach out. Please tell me if your pets are neutered/spayed, microchipped, house trained or have any quirks/fears I should know about. I also like to use treats so it's important that I know if they can have them and if they have any allergies. It's also important for me to know what their exercise requirements/potty requirements are on a day to day basis.

Every dog is different and I try and tailor our time together so it's enjoyable for each and every dog. Tell me what your dog enjoys and I'll guarantee to keep them happy, exercised and entertained while you are gone.
