I grew up with my grandfather, who had an Australian Shepard named Andy, and he became my best friend growing up. I've had an English bulldog named Ciro, who would slobber me endlessly to wake me up before school. Tabby cats and Manx cats who found their way between my toes for the sweetest of naps. I'm living with a new Australian Shepard pit-bull mix, who warms my heart every morning when I make my coffee. This past winter I dog sat a 5 year old Jack Terrier, and a 9 year old border collie for a total of 2 months. I cared for a black lab, blue-Heeler mix for 1 month this year, while his parents were away in Guatemala. The year before last, I cared for a golden retriever for a month and a half while his parents went away for their separate jobs in different parts of the country.* Before my Australian Shepard, I lived with a Black lab named Hank. Hank was a very self-sufficient dog, but he had problems being with a lot of people and small children.
