Pet care experience
(Update: 11/24/23) Please be patient with me during this time, as my furbaby Jack just crossed the rainbow bridge on November 8th. I am still accepting bookings, but acceptance times and availability may vary. Hello beautiful pet parents! My name is Carlitha, and although I am new to the Rover community of sitters, my love for all animals has been cultivating for roughly 15 years now. I am a high school teacher, so my weekdays are a little busy, and weekends are currently dedicated to fur-babies. I have a 15 year old Yorkie-mix named Jack, who has been my peace and joy since the Spring of 2008. He gets along great with other dogs (and even cats), and he even enjoys assisting me in the daily feeding of the neighborhood birds, squirrels and chip munks-- oh, and the cat who sometimes relaxes in my garage. Jack is the only pet I own at the moment, but I have been having serious dog-fever lately, which is why I decided to sign up to be a pet sitter. I have also used Rover dozens of times for my pet sitting needs, so I 100% trust (and am comfortable with) its service. Carlitha is an angel!! I have never used Rover before and for this to be my first experience I will definitely be back again and for Carlitha specifically. My boys are small and super sweet and I want to make sure they are with someone as sweet and loving and that’s Carlitha. She loves all dogs big and small. You can be sure that your doggies are in very good hands when they are with Carlitha. I was able to travel peacefully knowing my boys were being cared for by Carlitha!! Thank you Carlitha for being who you are as a person and to our doggies.
Carlitha was amazing with Pete. He was right at home with her and she took care of him with her whole heart! We loved getting photos of him and knowing he was living his best life while we were away. Plus, she was completely set up for him, making pick up and drop off so easy!
Carlitha was great with our two dogs! She filled in last second for another individual who had canceled and was willing to meet last minute for a quick walkthrough / meet and greet. Would recommend her to anyone and will be using her again in the future!
We were in town for just a day and needed someone to watch Piggs on short notice, Carlitha really filled the bill. From the moment she opened the door we could tell Carlitha really loved fur babies. I would, without reservations, reccomend her as a dog sitter.

I live in a spacious, dog-friendly house with a good size backyard for daily play. I also reside in Lakewood, which means that I am close to many parks and lots of nature, so your furbaby will get lots of fresh air and exercise!

I would love to know how well your dog generally behaves around other dogs, where they typically sleep, and if they have any food restrictions (for treat purposes).
A typical day
I accommodate fur-babies of every energy level. Have a couch potato? Then we can spend the day relaxing indoors or on the front porch-- with plenty of hugs, snugs, and belly-rubs. Have an energizer bunny? I am close to plenty of nature paths and parks, and my neighborhood has an endless supply of thirsty trees and bushes!
