dog whisperer + runner, WFH w yard
Pet care experience
Most of the dogs I've interacted with have been high-energy and large: 45- 80 pounds. As a runner, I often run with the dogs- letting them set the pace. I've also trained a lot of dogs that had never gone running before to running well, alongside me. A lot of friends and clients call me a dog whisperer because I'm good with dealing with difficult dogs. I have experience with fosters, newly adopted dogs, reactive dogs, dogs that need to be carried up and down stairs (have carried 70 pound dogs) and senior and special needs dogs. I fostered a pitbull for a few months and am very proud that I crate-trained her, adjusted her to city living, and taught her new tricks. I've also helped other friends get into fostering and helped them train their dogs to acclimate to city life including separation anxiety, running on a leash, and new tricks! I have experience with pitbulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, golden retrievers, Australian Shepherds, Goldendoodles, Ridgebacks, black labs, (french + english) bull dogs, German shepherds, Dobermans, daschunds and pugs and have taken care of dogs 5 - 140 pounds. I LOVE dogs and fostering, dog sitting, and hiking with other people's dogs fills that void for me.

Shiloh had a great day with Carleen. She sent photo updates and took good care of him. Definitely would use her again!

I have a large private fenced outdoor area and space in my living room for a crate/ for the dog to roam free. Have lived with a 45 and 60 pound active pitbulls in my current house. I mostly do daycare at my place or housesitting for Rover clients when they are traveling / on vacation. I'll plan my schedule around what works best for your dog, its personality and how it behaves around others.

Typical schedule for the dog: walks, feeding times. Medication, allergies. How they interact with other dogs, children, people. Dog personality/ demeanor. Any triggers, habits to watch for
A typical day
My last dog I fostered was very high energy (We ran 3-5 miles a day together) so we would do runs, long walks, and sessions in the open dog run areas. A normal day was 630am (run to dog run, stay for an hour and do a few sprint sessions across the field), a lunchtime (short walk), a walk at 5pm (30 min), and a longer walk at 8 pm. Last pee break at 11 pm. This was a 60 pound active pitbull.

Availability
I work from home so have a pretty open schedule for both last-minute dog walks and dog daycare/ dogsitting. I schedule calls around the dogs' potty schedule/ walk schedule. I also run regularly with dogs so can make a training plan that fits your dog's energy levels.
