Carla was great!

This was a very upsetting experience. Carla has no experience in watching puppies with high energy. She may do better with moderate to calm energy type dogs, but within 30 mins of me dropping off my dog at her house, she wanted to cancel and have us pick up the dog because he has too much energy; which is in bold letters in my description about my puppy. She didn’t put forth any effort to calm him down, with my guidance over the phone and obviously demonstrated that she has no experience or control with these types of dogs. Upon returning him I showed her how to easily take control of the situation for future clients that she may have with similar high energy dogs. Every dog with high energy is going to see what they can get away with when their owner is not around. It’s up to the sitter to know that and demonstrate calm and firm commands to help the dog know that they are in control and this gains the dogs trust in return. Super unfortunate. Carla seems nice, but she’s very inexperienced and I would caution anyone with a high energy puppy or even high energy dogs in general, to search for a different sitter.
