Pet care experience
Hi, I live near Alston Park in Napa, and I love taking my dog there for some fun in the dog park. I’m a retired teacher from Yountville Elementary School (I taught there for twenty-two years) and a couple other schools. This summer and fall '01 I'm mostly looking to do dog/house sits in the Napa area (I'm currently not taking Sonoma jobs). I'm also doing day visits and short walks for puppies, and I have many cat clients. I have a three year old golden retriever named Ollie, and he loves coming over for puppy play and socialization if you'd like that (he doesn't come with me on overnights). My family also has two cats and a rabbit. I've done many cat care jobs and even chicken care. Besides my part-time pet care business, I’m a new member of Napa Search and Rescue Team (which means I've had a through background check by the Napa Sheriffs' office in addition to the Rover check (which isn't very through imho)). Booked Carl for 30-min walk with my 10-year old Donut on a late afternoon. Showed up on time, Carol’s calm energy puts Donut at ease when walking in. He shortened the walk a bit; I asked why. “Donut started pulling hard; didn’t want to stress an older gal”. He cares about fur babes.
Carl is very communicative and attentive. He responds in a timely manner. Would hire him again.

I want to know the habits of your pets and what makes them comfortable when you're gone. Feeding, eating, walking schedule are all important. Any medications or special diets are also important.
A typical day
Usually I walk around your neighborhood as it's a half-hour walk and I don't want to waste time driving. If you wanted me to take him/her to a park, then paying for two halves would make more sense. For visits, there'd be lots of playtime, petting, indoor fetch and feeding if needed.
