*regarding fees, please read until the end* Hey there! My name is Carissa and I have been raised around dogs my whole childhood. I love working with all different kinds of doggies. I immensely enjoy my time with them! Currently, I have three inside kitties (just added a kitten found on the side of stadium!) and one outside kitty , but I am NOT just a cat person! I love all animals! I graduated high school in st Charles early, jumped right into community college, and moved up here to finish my bachelors in psychology. I’ve always wanted to help people and now I have the pleasure of helping people with their sweet tiny souls. I’ve had the opportunity of taking care of cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, fish, bearded dragons, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys and more! I’m always open to learn how to take care of any other animal you have in your family. I would love the opportunity to take care of your family. I have been a pet care provider for over almost two years now and it is my full time job! I would love to be able to provide updates and pictures of your pet while you are out on a vacation or a weekend get away or just stuck at work. Carissa is a very nice person but I think she was stretched a little thin when she dropped in to take care of my cat for two weeks. We met up three times and each time she had to reschedule. During the drop ins, she took care of my cat's physical needs but there were a few missteps along the way. When my cat's battery-powered toy died, Carissa went through my drawers searching for batteries and a screw driver to replace them before messaging me. She also fed my cat wet food without asking, I only found out because it was in the fridge when I got home. One night Carissa had to leave a drop in early and never ended the check-in so I had to reach out to confirm everything was ok. But Carissa also bought replacements when my cat broke her favorite feather toy. And when I asked for for it she gave me a full refund for the missed time. I don't think I would use Carissa again but I could have caught her at a bad time.
Carissa is the BEST!! She took such good care of my Rufus, He is shy but she had him giving licks and paws!!! Will DEFINITELY use her again and WILL RECOMMEND her to all my friends and family! Thanks Carissa
Carissa watched by cat 2 times for long periods of time and she has done a great job every time! She is my go to when I need someone to watch my cat when I leave for work. Would highly recommend!

Information Carissa K. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know vet information (which Rover requests of you anyway), a back up contact if you are going out of town and your signal may be spotty, where food is, how much, where the treats are, if they have a limit on treats, how they handle when walking, how they do with other dogs if we might encounter them on walks, anything important about their personality, if they have sensitive zones that they do not like to be petted on, if they have any medical conditions that I need to be concerned about or keep an eye on. Anything else that I might need to know is welcome.
A typical day
ROVER QUESTION: WHAT FUN ACTIVITIES WILL YOU DO WITH THE DOGS YOU WATCH? DO YOU HAVE SPECIAL PLACES YOU LIKE TO GO ON WALKS? This question is geared mostly toward dogs, so answering for that, I enjoy playing fetch, going on walks, playing with toys, making brain stimulating puzzles for them with treats and anything else! I gear my activities toward what the owner requests of me. We might go to the park if the owner is OK with that. If the dog park is some thing that the owner is confident with, we could try that, but mostly I walk them in their neighborhood or take them to the park and keep them away from other dogs to ensure that they are safe.
