I grew up in Sierra Madre. I went away to college and am now residing back in Monrovia. I’ve babysat and walked both my brother and sister’s dog. I've walked them individually and together. They are both small/ medium sized. One of the dogs was a senior and only needed one short walk a day where she walked slow. She was a little shy to new people but trusted me. The other dog was middle age, liked to walk fast, went on two walks a day, and was very affectionate. I would love to be around dogs but I am not ready to have one of my own. I am a freelance fine artist and freelance graphic designer. This gives me flexible hours. And this gives me additional income.

Carissa has care for my dog multiple times. She is so caring and responsive to dogs. She makes them feel loved. I do not feel worried when Carissa is watching my dog. I would recommend her to care for another family's member dog.
Carissa has watched our dog Stanley multiple times. She has taken care of him for weekends and a couple extended times. I'm always happy to get my dog back, but I know he might have it even better when Carissa is watching him. Carissa is very responsible and a loving caregiver.
Having known and observed Carissa with dogs as she grew up I can say that the theory of "man's best friend" being his or her dog truly applies In her case. Carissa seems to have a special instinctual connection with dogs and I think she would be great handling them through Rover. Another thing going for Carissa is that she is a professional free lance artist so the needs of Rover as well as the flexibility of her schedule seems like they might be a perfect fit.
Give Carissa a try at walking your dog. Dogs have always been a big part of her life and our last family dog, Murphy, received lots of love and care from her. She is always available to help other family members with their dogs. Carissa is caring and responsible and will give your dog lots of love as well as a good walk.
