I love dogs more than I love people. This may seem like a stretch, or a cliche, or some combination of the two but I swear by it and I will tell you why. Dogs are inherently good. If they behave poorly, there is most likely a clear and uncomplicated reason for their behavior. I enjoy helping dogs relearn effective behaviors and all it takes is consistency and an unwillingness to budge; regardless of cuteness. Personal philosophy aside, I grew up with a chocolate lab named Kaylee and, like me, she needed lots of exercise. Walking and loving her is something I miss dearly since moving from Boston to NYC. I am looking to fill that void with your very own pet! I led the charge in training Kaylee and have gathered good experience teaching dogs proper walking etiquette (respecting the leash, minimal barking/pulling, sitting before crossing a street, etc.). I believe dogs actually like having a clear, consistent, and disciplined walker - one that pays attention to them and is consistent in their behaviors. If you have any light training requests, I'd be happy to incorporate them into walks! I have provided professional dog walking/caretaking services in the past for friends and family, and have experience walking and taking care of multiple dogs at once.
