Experienced dog walker
Pet care experience
I am an experienced dog walker (5+ years), current animal rescue volunteer, and overall avid animal lover originally from the Boston area. I have lived with dogs my whole life and helped with everything from chihuahuas to newfoundlands! I am Fear Free Handling certified and practice positive reinforcement whenever possible. I can provide individual care for dogs and cats but also have experience caring for up to six dogs at a time. I also have experience caring for cats, including kittens. I can run with your dog if it wants the exercise or just go for a walk in the park (and maybe make some friends along the way!). I work full-time but have a hybrid schedule so I would love to spend my extra time helping take care of animals throughout the city.

Cara was wonderful with my fur babies and my home. My Yorkie was injured by a groomer right before I had to leave town. Cara had no problem administering the medication and giving my pup some extra TLC. I had total peace of mind while I was gone.
Cara is great - our pup loves her, and she takes excellent care of her.
Cara was great at looking after our dog whilst we were away. She played lots with him and we picked up a happy dog the next day!

The safety and comfortability of the pets I work with are of utmost importance to me. I always strive to create as nurturing and loving an environment as possible. If I am boarding pets at my house, I always try to incorporate them into my schedule, giving them as much attention as possible. If I am pet sitting, I try to see what their routine is there already so that they feel the least disruption to their normal schedule.

I would like to know if the dog gets along with other dogs or not. If the dog has any allergies or disabilities I should know of. I grew up with beagles so they have a special place in my heart, but I still love all other breeds.
A typical day
We will go on runs in the park or walks around the neighborhood depending on the dog's activity level. We will play catch and socialize with other dogs we meet along the way if that's what your dog wants.
