I have always been an animal lover. Whether it’s a spider in the bath or a stray dog on the street, I think all animals have a right to be treated equally, cared for properly and ultimately loved. That is one of the reasons that I became vegetarian approx. 2 years ago now and aim to go vegan in the near future - I believe all animals should live a long and happy life! Previously, I have been the owner of a mixed breed dog for around 10 years. He was 1/2 Rottweiler and 1/2 Alsatian - but a big softie at heart. Even as a teenager, I fed, walked (or he walked me) and looked after him until we sadly had to have him put down when he reached old age in 2012. Since then, I have been the owner of 2 cats, 1 of which is still with us now. My sister has dogs of her own - 2 beautiful Labradors. I have looked after them on multiply occasions when my sister and her family have been away. I made sure they were fed twice a day with monitored, measured amounts, taken on walks each day, entertained throughout the day and given proper care overnight. She has always been satisfied and happy with the care I provided in her absence. I have also applied this with her rabbit who I also looked after. As well as this, my best friend has a houseful of pets ranging from birds and fish to rabbits guinea pig to a small dog. I have house sat for her many times too and made sure the animals needs (food, water, shelter, exercise) were my main priority at all times. I am an honest, caring and overall committed individual who wants to develop a future career in animal care. I think this is a perfect step to take in achieving that. You can trust me to be punctual, polite and give 110% to meet yours and your animals requirements. Apart from weekday evenings from 5-9 and weekend daytime (due to football commitments) I am available from approx 9am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday.
