Pet care experience
Hi! I began working as a sitter for Rover shortly after graduating from Skidmore College in 2017. I left Rover when I moved to Korea to teach English, but now I am back! I recently moved to the DMV area for graduate school, so I am now located in Maryland. In addition to having family dogs, I have over 4 years of professional experience working in an indoor dog park/boarding facility/veterinary hospital. While working in that capacity, I was responsible for monitoring dogs, administering medicine and food, grooming, and general care. I love dogs (!) and believe that my experience and professionalism set me apart from other care providers. I am compassionate, thoughtful, and observant, and would use those skills to ensure your dog is the most happy and healthy he or she can be! In addition to working with dogs, I have experience working with a variety of animals and their unique needs! I once even gave a rat a nebulizer... I am fully vaccinated, but I still like to be cautious about COVID preparedness and behavior. More than happy to provide references for my animal care experience!
Reviews
Cara was nice and kind. She is very accountable and responsible for taking care of our cats, Luka and Bridger. We lover her :)
Cara was great! Was responsive and sent pictures and updates. Will definitely use again in the future.
Cara is pleasant and no dog can resist her company! Thank-You Cara!
Cara was excellent. We were getting daily updates about each of our dogs (two 15 month old standard poodles and one 14 years old Chihuahua). Cara included detailed description of each pet their behavior as well as pictures. Cara was very professional and knowledgeable about overall pet care. She made us feel very comfortable with the overall experience of watching out dogs as well as staying in our house. We will definitely use Cara in the future and we highly recommend Cara as a pet and house sitter.

I don’t offer in home boarding because I have a dog of my own who likes his solitude. When caring for animals in my clients’s homes, I keep it clean and respect the owner’s house and privacy. Let me know if there is any house stuff (plants, mail, trash) that you need taken care of while you’re gone.
Information Cara D. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has separation anxiety or any nervous tendencies. It's helpful to know if a dog's abnormal behavior is simply anxiety, or indicative of something more serious (like a health incident).
A typical day
I'll probably try to keep their day as similar to what you do with your dog on a normal day! If you have a preference towards dog parks, I might visit one, however out of an abundance of caution I usually avoid them unless I am very familiar with the area and dog. I hope you understand!

I’m a graduate student who also works part time at the University. Tuesday through Thursday, I’m typically 9-5, but on weekends I’m free all day!
