Pet care experience
Coming from a large family of dog lovers, means I’ve lived with dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’ve grown up helping to walk, feed and care for them. During my teens, we or other family members often had multiple dogs at home, so I’ve come to experience walking a range of sizes (small, medium and large breeds). The dogs I’ve got to know had different temperaments, quirks, or levels of reactivity to various things. Most of my care experience is with adults, but I’ve also looked after puppies and senior dogs too, in some cases, giving medication (oral and topical).
Reviews
Cara has looked after my three dogs (two Chihuahuas and a Malamute) on several occasions. Very professional, always on time and is exceptional when it comes to communicating, which is key. Highly recommend Cara.
Cara has walked our dogs for several years, the dogs always look forward to seeing and going out for a walk with Cara. Cara communicates very well what if anything has occurred on the the walk. I highly recommend Cara

Safety, trust & environment
For house sitting/daycare/dog walking etc, I’ll keep to the standards/routine your dog is used to at their home, matching your routine of feeding, walks, playtime, and attention! My flat has a restriction against pets (the only reason I don’t have one of my own!), so I’m unable to care for dogs in my own home at the moment. If that changes, I am able to provide multiple potty breaks/walks a day. I live in the centre of Folkestone, with access to a number of walking options in the area. My flat has space for lounging and zoomies.
Information cara c. would like to know about your pet
Do they have any allergies? Any health conditions or medications I should know about? Is there anything they’re reactive to? e.g bikes on a walk or other dogs What are their behavioural cues? e.g. will I know when they’re after treats or want to go out? e.g. they’ll wait for a treat after going out in the garden Are there any other quirks I should know about? Are they allowed on the sofa/bed?
A typical day
Games of catch or tug in the garden (or inside, home set up & weather dependent!), check out the new local smells in the area and sniff/puzzle games to exercise the mind.

Availability
I currently work from home 4 days a week, and go into the office on a Wednesday from 9-3pm, so as long as there’s somewhere I can take virtual meetings, my schedule is fairly flexible! I don’t drive, so I may need some notice for travel, and because of this preferred start times will likely be after work/evenings, early morning or lunchtime if possible.
