Pet care experience
With a passion for animal care and dedication to their well-being, my expertise is based on real life experience with dog sitting for family and friends and my 20+ years with my personal pets. I prioritise creating a safe, loving environment where even the oldest of dogs can feel like a puppy again! What sets me apart from other sitters is my commitment to understanding all clients individual needs, adapting for every individual personality and tailoring my care to work for your adored pet. My special skills include engaging with basic puppy training to ensure consistency during the time that I am with them, as well as working with specialised senior dog care making my services more accessible for clients with an older pup. I provide daily walks and exercise as frequently as your pet needs, as well as access to secure Run Free Dog Fields for reactive dogs. Extensive experience with administering medication separately or alongside meal preparation and feeding times. Medication I have worked with before includes oral supplements in the form of tablets or chewable, medicated drops for the eyes and ears, food and water additives, liquids administered by syringe and transdermal gels or creams. I do not have experience with canine diabetes or administering injections, however I am seeking training in this area. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or queries!

Sitting with our dogs, including administering medication and taking them for walks, we have always found Cara to be friendly and helpful. Cara has always been very flexible and is great with our dogs! We feel very confident leaving Cara with our dogs, who are sometimes wary of people, she has built up a great relationship with them and our older dog, who requires medication administered regularly including with a syringe into her mouth, is comfortable with her.

From feeding and exercising to administering medication and providing ample affection, I tailor my care to meet the unique needs of each pet. Having access to a car enables me to promptly attend to any unexpected situations or emergencies that may arise, ensuring the safety and comfort of your pets at all times. Whether it's a trip to the vet or a leisurely stroll in the park, I am equipped to handle any situation with efficiency and care. Your pets will receive the same love, attention, and respect that they do from you, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience for both you and your furry family members.

I have no limits when it comes to breeds of any dogs that I sit for. I require full disclosure about temperament and reactivity from any client that I take on, this does not affect me aquiring this dog for sitting as all of this can be catered for, I myself have a reactive dog so I have plenty of experience with them and I feel an intense need to provide as much freedom as is safe and possible for dogs with this experience. I also require information on whether your pet has any health conditions and/or medication that needs to be administered while they are in my care.
A typical day
I am dedicated to making sure your dog has a good experience while in my care and this includes catering for different needs like secure dog fields for reactive dogs, enclosed areas for off the lead dogs, stimulating environments for leashed dogs etc. I am also interested in trying to find more out of the box exercise like agility courses and pool access. All of these extra amenities might be taken into consideration when discussing payment for your pet, depending on the pets needs and energy levels.

Availability
I am currently working part-time in retail, this frees up a lot of spare time while I am trying to find a career that works for me. I am interested in veterinary nursing and patient care so I am currently pursuing that in my free time alongside my hobbies like the gym, learning a language. I am fully flexible with the times and days that I am able to house sit and would tailor my schedule to work for my client's needs.
