Pet care experience
I've never met a dog I didn't like! I have experience with dogs who require extra patience and training, especially pitbulls and hounds. I have particular experience with rescue dogs and their specific needs. I have no problem with larger dogs or any breed with an "aggressive" reputation. I will closely adhere to whatever pre-existing training your dog has and I'll also happily work to improve any unwanted behaviors. I treat all dogs with love, patience and respect, but I will also be assertive if and when necessary. I'm confident walking any kind of breed and am practiced with non-socialized/ leash aggressive dogs. I feel comfortable administering any medication your pup requires. Cleaning up accidents is no issue! If you're looking to socialize your dog, I have a 30lb very friendly male beagle and a 90 lb female blue tick coonhound who is laid back yet not at all easily intimidated and loves the occasional play session! Please feel free to inquire further about scheduling and services as I am currently employed part time but will make acceptions for regular clients.

Cara has helped take care of our 85 lb pit bull mix on several occasions with no problems at all. They became very quick friends. We have great confidence in her abilities and will use her services in the future.

A typical day
I live very close to Lincoln Woods which is a lovely place to bring dogs. If your dog loves car rides and already has a favorite walk spot, I'm happy to bring them there! I know many excellent dog walking locations throughout the state and will gladly customize a walk to your dog's preferred environment. I played softball for 7 years so fetch is definitely no problem! Or we can relax in my yard with a very safe lead tethered to a tree or my hammock pole. I can also provide challenging puzzle toys if your dog requires additional mental stimulation, although it's simply a great training and bonding tool on its own.
