Hi! I have many years of experience in pet care and housesitting, and have a few private clients. I decided to branch my services out to Rover because their fees ensure that your pet has 24/7 Trust and Safety Coverage! 🥰 I taught psychology, sociology and English at local colleges and universities for several years, as well as worked in higher education administration. At present, I am studying for my Ph.D in Holistic Counseling, writing, and enjoying time with my husband of ten years, and our two doggies. DOGS: I love & communicate well with them! I enjoy playing with dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds and abilities; and, inspiring senior dogs. I am also comfortable caring for those with special needs, disabilities, rambunctiousness, anxiety, or are untrained. I balance kindness and patience with gentle discipline. My goal is for your pet (and you!) to become genuinely glad to see me when I arrive to take care of them. CATS: I love kitties, as well! I had my beloved Samson (domestic shorthair) for 12 rewarding years. I enjoy stimulating cats with toys that bring out their inner kitten! I will be equally loving and doting to your feline as your other pets! SCALES, FEATHERS & TAILS: I like snakes/reptiles, birds, rodents, and am comfortable looking after them, as well! (I am not a fan of arachnids, scorpions or insects, but will consider on a case-by-case basis.) LIVESTOCK: I don't have much experience tending to cattle, horses, donkeys, goats, pigs, etc., but am open to learning! Please reach out with any questions you have! I look forward to meeting you and your pack! 😉 I am available Monday through Sunday, from 10:00am to 8:00pm. I can do walks & visits. Overnights will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, I am not able to use my home as part of my services. I have 2 dogs: a 10 year old Yorkie-Chiweenie rescue named Maggie & a 6 year old Beagle-Whippet named Sheldon, who is a special-needs rescue. I treat my own dogs like family. They sleep with us and are constant companions. They've always eaten quality food (Blue Buffalo) and drink cool, filtered water. Both Maggie and Sheldon are current in their shots and check-ups. We are a very cohesive pack! 🥰 When I am looking after clients' or other people's pets, I make sure to abide by all instructions and take care of each pet as if they were my own. I enjoy establishing trust and companionship with each pet, and have much patience in doing so. I give lots of love and play, if they desire. (It gratifies my spirit as much as theirs!) I am very observant and intuitive with animal behaviors, and genuinely enjoy making a connection with every pet. I will do my best to ensure your pet's safety and security!
